2025/04/05 - Tariff shocks hit market

- Apr. 2, Trump announced reciprocal tariffs. It includes broad 10% duties and further levies on select trading partners.  

- From Apr. 10, China will impose 34% additional tariffs on all products from united States

- Risk of US recession is rising

- Powell spoke about traiffs. "Higher than anticipated. Could be persistent". Different from what he acknowledged it to be "Transitionary" 

- March unemployment rate rose 0.1% to 4.2%. 

- PCE increased to 2.8%. March NFP recorded 228K above consensus.

- South Korean CPI recorded 2.1%(YoY). Slight increase from Feb. 2.0%.
